Ok so Laguna Seca is over and Cook's Corner is in September. Let's try and get together for this one on August 19th. We can all meet at my house and ride over together. If anyone wants to truck their bike from down south or wherever I have plenty of parking at my place. We can even do a short ride through Harmony Grove and over the hill in San Elijo. It will dump us out right in San Marcos. Chime in.

I have a bunch of flyers for Daltons.  The Buffalo still not running right so hoping that will be fixed in time.  Worst Case I ride the R1 up, but have enough flyers for the show.

well I can't make it-the rz went boom yesterday well more like a little rattle rattle then another rattle rattle. I was coming down del dios and a couple of guys on gsxr's were giving me some shit coming out of Escondido they wanted to drag race from the stop light revving their bikes and acting like jack asses so I handed them their ass-I cought them in  the corners and passed them both on the inside at about 80 on one of those nice sweepers I think I scared the shit out of themLOL and they tried to keep up so I wrung the shit out of the little rz and they couldn't catch me untill I slowed down in RSF and they wouldn't even come close they had enough Wink- but on the way home I thought I heard some piston slap or something going on and the noise went away-and no power loss then again a little rattle a couple of mi later so I took it easy the rest of the way home. Pulled the plugs and the L cyl the plug gap was almost pounded shut WTF? so I pulled the head and it looks like a main bearing cage is coming apart it beat the shit out of the piston and head. I will know more tomorrow just pulled the motor and I am taking it to work to take the crank out and see what is coming loose.  The cylinder hardly has a scratch but the head and the piston are wasted. Damn it was running good ran it on the dyno last week after a few tweaks and it was right at 65 hp to the wheel well you know the saying.......they run the best right before they blow the fuck up  Dead well it gives me and excuse to build a proper crank jigBig smile

we will have to get a ride in before Cooks- the rz should be back in action next week just a broken small end bearing cage but still has to come all the way apart to clean out the crank bearings and 4th gear is a little hesitant to engage-but I have a spare trans so no biggie

Definitely in, just let us know when and where.  Glad the RZ is not fatally wounded.  See you soon.

just check the voltage while revving the motor 4-5k rpm it shouldnt be over 14 v the batterys might get a little warm when charging- they aren't really designed for fast charging
